1. In order to implement "Provincial Government establishes high school, and county or city government establishes junior high school" policy, the Central Government changed "First City High School" to the subsidiary of Provincial Government in August, 1962, and Mr. Tseng Jianshun, the city educational inspector, was assigned to establish the School, which was later named as the "Zuoying Eighth Junior High School of Kaohsiung City". Total eighteen classes were recruited in the first year, and used Sin Sin Junior High School 's (originally the City Women's Junior High School) classrooms for teaching for one year. After the first stage construction project of the School was completed in1963, all classes moved to the new School.
2. The School was officially founded on April, 18, 1963 by the Provincial Government's order number 29417. The date was set as the anniversary date of the School.
3. As of November 1964, the Jhih-Sin, Min-Deh, Bu-Yun Buildings were completed one by one. The scale of the School began to form. In 1968, the Science Building was completed. In 1969, the Arts Building and Jingsyue Building were completed.
4. The Nine-Year Citizen Education Policy began in August 1968, and the School was renamed as Tsoying Junior High School of Kaohsiung City, where graduate students from Tso-Ying, Chiu-Cheng, Ping-Shan, Sheng-Li, Sin-Jhuang, Sin-Min elementary schools preceded their education.
5. On April 3, 1970, Mr. Tseng Jianshun, principal of the School, was transferred to Chien-Chin Junior High School ; his position was replaced by Mr. Chen Ceylon , the principal of Chyi-Jihn Junior High School .
6. In January, 1971, the Handcraft Building was completed. Equipments of the building were enriched quickly, and education occupation cooperation projects were established. The School became the model school of the City.
7. In September 1971, the Dayi Junior High School was founded in adjacent area, and therefore it was proposed that Dayi should specialize and recruit only boys while our School should specialize and recruit only girls.
8. In 1974, Li-Te Junior High School was founded in Zuoying District. School district was re-arranged, and our School began to recruit both boys and girls once again.
9. In 1976, Middle Class Continuation Night School was founded in our School.
10. On February 26, 1977, Principal Chen Ciyon transferred to Chien-Chen Junior High School . His vacancy was replaced by Wan Hueifo, the principal of Shinan Junior High School of Taoyuan County. In September 1978, the Resource Class was founded, and in 1983, the Special Class for mentally challenged youth was founded. In November 1990, the Student Activity Center was completed.
11. On August 1, 1982, Principal Wan Hueifo transferred to Ku-Shan Junior High School . The vacancy was replaced by Mr. Lin Guotai, Principal of Yanshuei Junior High School of Tainan County. Because of Principal Lin's relentless efforts, the School began to develop quickly.
12. On February 1, 1991, the Principal of the School was replaced with Mr. Chan Lashih, who was qualified in the Second Principal Examination. Since then, the School grew steadily and progressed.
13. In November 1996, the School Lunch Program began. In May, 1995, the PU field runway was completed. In 1995, the Special Class for the Blind was founded.
14. Experimental "Self-Study Program" began in fiscal 1991 and ended in August 1997.
15. On February 1, 1997, Principal Chan transferred to Yangming Junior High School . The vacancy was replaced with Ms. Chou Yushuan, Principal of Nantz Elementary School, who further enhanced education quality based on existing achievements of the School, and led the School toward "a school in which everyone is successful".
16. On August 1, 2001, Principal Chou transferred to Cheing-Hsing Junior High School . Vacancy was replaced with Mr. Wang Jinlong, guidance teacher at Chung Cheng High School .
